Find out how your carbon footprint is generated

Some of our everyday actions also contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

Playing video games generates 20 kg of carbon dioxide per year

What produces these emissions?

When playing video games, there are several factors that generate emissions, such as the electricity used by the device and screen, and the Internet connection. The video game format is also important as their size when it comes to downloading them also affects the emissions generated by using servers.

What can you do to reduce them?

To save energy, try to use your video game console responsibly and turn off devices when they aren't being used.

At BBVA, we have created the first personal carbon footprint calculator

If you are already a customer, discover how much carbon dioxide you generate with your gas, electricity and fuel consumption on the BBVA app's Sustainability Section.
