How to defer your purchases with Plazox in a physical store

1. After paying with your credit card and entering your PIN, you can choose between paying the full amount or deferring the payment.

2. If you choose to defer the purchase, you can select the term of your choice (3, 6, 9 or 12 months) on the payment terminal.

3. Finally, you confirm the operation by entering your PIN again. It's that simple.

It is a solution for businesses that lets their customers defer their purchases (both in physical and online stores) with their credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months at the time of payment.

If you are interested, you don't have to do anything. For your convenience, we will enable this service on your credit card. You won't have to replace it or do anything. Most BBVA credit cards, except for BBVA Negocios cards, will be compatible with the plazox deferred payment system.

In any store that has the Plazox service enabled. When paying with your credit card, the POS terminal screen (physical store) or a website payment screen (online) will display the different deferment options, with their corresponding payments and interest and/or fees.

If you are buying in a physical store, you just need to initiate payment with your compatible credit card, enter your PIN as you usually do for any purchase, and follow the instructions. The store will show you the payment terminal so you can choose the term that interests you most (3, 6, 9 or 12 months), and you can complete the process by confirming the operation with your PIN.

If you're buying in an online store and your card is set up for Plazox, a screen will open during the purchase process with the various deferment options. You can defer your purchase by choosing the one that interests you most and giving your consent by checking the acceptance of terms and conditions ("Do you want to defer?") that will be shown under the deferment options. In either case, you have the option of not deferring, and the purchase will be paid for just like with any other non-deferred purchase.

Any type of purchase can be deferred, as long as the amount is at least 60 euros. Each business can increase this minimum amount.

You don't have to fill out any paperwork or questionnaires, or wait for any additional approval. You just have to give your consent by following the instructions you will receive during the purchase process, whether in a physical or online store.

A deferral fee will be charged for terms shorter than 6 months, and interest for terms longer than 6 months, as specified in the credit card contract terms on personalized (revolving) payments.
